Researcher in the Structure and Dynamics in Catalysis

Job description:

  • Data analysis: Extended X-Ray Absorption Fine Structure, Linear combination analysis, Principal component analysis
  • Design and implementation of reactor system for in-situ X-Ray and infrared studies of transition metal ions-containing zeolite-based catalysts
  • Planning and performing X-Ray experiments at synchrotron facilities
  • Publishing of the results and preparation of the scientific proposals 
     

Type of contract: Temporary (18. 03. 2024 - 18. 09. 2024)

Job status: Part-time (up to 30% of FTE)

Offer starting date: As soon as possible

Requirements:

  • PhD in chemistry or material sciences
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in in situ and ex situ X-Ray techniques employed for zeolites characterization
  • Broad experience in performing synchrotron measurements and data evaluation, employment as a beamline scientist would be considered as advantage
  • Background: zeolites, Al organization in zeolites, heterogeneous catalysis, X-ray methods, material chemistry
  • Supervision of PhD students and postdoctoral researchers is highly welcome
