Post-Doc Position in Astrochemistry and Astrobiology of Venus

A post-doc position focused on the experimental exploration of photochemical processes on Venus is open at the J. Heyrovsky Institute of Physical Chemistry in Prague, Czech Republic. This position requires close collaboration with the Institut für Weltraumforschung, Österreichische Akademie der Wissenschaften, Graz, and is funded by the Czech Science Foundation. Type of Contract: Temporary (3 years).

Job Status: Full-time

Requirements:

  • Deep, long-term, and well-documented studies in planetary chemistry.
  • Experience with spectroscopic techniques (e.g., gas phase FTIR, GC-MS).
  • A primarily experimental focus, with the ability to evaluate data and understand the theory.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language.
  • Knowledge of Czech and German is an advantage.
