PhD student position in electrochemical characterization of polymer brushes

We are looking for a new PhD student to work on the characterization of surface-tethered polymer brushes as anti-fouling materials by electrochemical techniques. In particular, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry will be used to probe charge transfer and mass transport (penetrability) properties of brushes and interactions between them and components of biological media, with the goal of constructing functional impedimetric biosensors.
