Advanced scanning probe and tip-enhanced spectroscopy characterization of 2D materials - postdoctoral researcher

The successful candidate will be responsible for tip-enhanced Raman and photoluminescence spectroscopy studies and advanced scanning probe microscopy characterization, including electrical and mechanical modes, mostly on mechanically exfoliated and CVD 2D materials and their heterostructures. The candidate will also be responsible for the instrument (https://www.nanocarbon.cz/all_facilities/integrated-spm-with-raman-spectrometer-hr-evo-nano/), collaborate with other members of the Nanocarbon Group, and supervise younger colleagues. The development of own topics and ideas is expected as well as own project applications within Czech and European grant frameworks. The initial length of the contract until 31.12.2024 with the possibility of extension.

Requirements
Proven advanced experience with scanning probe-based methods - a must! Authorship of peer-review publications in respected journals in the field. PhD field: physics, chemistry, or material sciences. Raman spectroscopy, photoluminescence spectroscopy, mechanical exfoliation and stacking of 2D materials, electronic transport, clean room experience, optics.
