Postdoctoral researcher in experimental and theoretical astrochemistry

The succesful applicant will work with Dr. Martin Ferus and his team „Applied Spectroscopy“ for short term 14 months project focused on exploration of various physical and chemical processes occurring in atmospheres of exoplanets exposed to intense extreme ultraviolet radiation emitted by young stars located in the center of their planetary systems and plasmas created by high-velocity impacts of extraplanetary bodies and atmospheric electrical discharges of a different kind.

You will be well versed in scientific work, including formulation of research plans, designing experiments, data analysis, formulation of conclusions and manuscript writing. We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic colleague with excellent communication skills, who is able to work within a large team of researchers. The applicant will have a good track-record of publishing research articles in respected journals, commensurate with his/her career stage.

The succesful applicant will prepare a project POSTDOC-INDIVIDUAL-FELLOWSHIP, which should allow to extend the lenght of the stay up to 3 years. In case of successful employment to current activities of our team, the applicant can be also hired on another existing project.

Requirements
You will have a PhD in astrophysics or chemistry, or related fiels or will be close to obtaining one. You will have an excellent understanding of, or experience in, FTIR spectroscopy and optical high resolution spectroscopy. Experience in or understanding of chemistry and astrophysic of interplanetary matter is welcome. Please, demonstrate this by list of publications.
