Job description: Preparation, realization, evaluation and interpretation of electrochemical and UV-vis spectrometric experiments focused on redox properties of selected furfural derivatives and monitoring of their reactions with N-, S- and O-nucleophiles. Essential skills and qualifications:

  • Ph.D. degree in chemistry (maximum 7 years from receiving the Ph.D. degree) before the date of starting the mobility (i.e., October 1 2020)
  • The applicant is working outside the Czech Republic for two years from the last three years.
  • Experience with standard electrochemical techniques (cyclic voltammetry, polarography,  rotating disk voltammetry, pulse electroanalytical techniques.
  • Experience with UV-vis and EPR spectrometry and their combinations with electrochemistry.

Desirable experience and competences:

  • Knowledge of electrochemical software NOVA  
  • Competencies necessary for a work with aprotic and oxygen-free conditions.
