Postdoc in degradation processes of organic dyes used on the art objects

Job description: Heyrovský Institute of Physical Chemistry of the CAS, v.v.i., for the purposes of the project "Optimalisation of analytical methods for environmental and biomedical diagnostics", Reg.No. CZ.02.2.69/0.0/0.0/18_053/0016922, under the call 02_18_053 International Mobility of Researchers, Technical and Administrative Workers of Research Institutions (MEYS, OP RDE) offers post-doc position "Degradation processes of organic dyes used on the art objects".

Degradation processes of organic compounds used on artworks will be studied. Succesful applicant will use the electrochemical techniques as cyclic voltammetry, alternate current voltammetry and impedance spectrometry for determination of oxidation mechanism of organic dyes. Structure-electrochemical activity relationship will be solved. The oxidation products generated during degradation processes and by spectroelectrochemistry will be identified by UV-Vis and IR spectrometry. Chromatography with diode array and mass spectrometric detection (MS/MS) will be the second part of the job.
