Postdoc in Computational Chemistry
The J. Heyrovsky Institute of Physical Chemistry offers a position in the scientific team of the Department of Computational Chemistry, focusing on electronic structures and spectroscopic properties of key reactive intermediates of some representative mononuclear and binuclear non-heme iron enzymes such as methane monooxygenase, hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase and hydroxymandelate synthase.
General Requirements:
- PhD in Theoretical and Computational Chemistry
- Good communication skills in both written and spoken English
Specific Requirements:
- Experience with multireference calculations and their application to reactivity of bioinorganic species
- Experience with theoretical spectroscopy; namely, CD/MCD and EPR spectroscopy applied to bioinorganic chemistry
Expected start date: 1.8. 2022 or by agreement
Duration of the position: until 12/2022
