PhD position in electrochemistry and spectroscopy of 2D materials

We are looking for a new PhD student to work on electrochemistry and spectroscopy of 2D materials. The successful applicant will join Dr. Matěj Velický and his team, supported by the prestigious Lumina Quaeruntur Award, who are exploiting tunable electrochemistry and spectroscopy of 2D materials. You will investigate electronic transport at high-doping regimes, tune the interactions between semiconductors and substrates, and elucidate charge screening/capacitance anomalies in concentrated electrolytes.

Our team is part of a larger collaboration with Dr. Otakar Frank and Dr. Martin Kalbáč, including more than 30 postdocs and PhDs. We share a range of cutting-edge instrumental facilities including fully-equipped cleanrooms and advanced techniques such as tip-enhanced Raman spectroscopy. We collaborate with several high-profile researchers in the USA, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
