The first meeting of the NanoCAT project took place at TU Wien

From 7 to 9 March, the first face-to-face meeting of the project entitled Scientific excellence in Nano-CATalysis at the Heyrovský Institute (acronym NanoCAT) took place at TU Wien, i.e one of the project´s partners.

The agenda was very rich and the meeting extended over two full days. In addition the introduction of the project aims and objectives extensive discussion on planning the research activities including the scientific events, and the exchange of scientific staff between HIPC and the more experienced partners TU Wien and UUlm. The second day was devoted to presentations of the Support staff at TU Wien. Different departments of TU Wien presented themselves. The agenda of this part of the meeting included sessions on project management, administrative matters and specific issues for systemic project support by the dedicated office, including Data Management. Specific discussion was the setting up of an exchange plan for administrative staff, as one of the NanoCAT objectives is to improve the project management of the widening country, i.e. at the HIPC. Extensive discussions were held on the NanoCAT data management plan, now one of the essential deliverables of Horizon Europe funded projects.

Another focal point of the kick-off meeting was the planning of the conference that will take place in the autumn of this year, as well as the summer school to be implemented in the project. The project events aim to initiate scientific discussions and promote interdisciplinary collaboration in the field of nanoscience.
