Organized mesoporous layers - Novel materials with attractive applications

Abstract:
The lecture provides an overview of the sol-gel and electrochemical methods of the preparation of ordered mesoporous layers of SiO2, TiO2 and ZnO, both pristine ones and modified due to the functionalization of the surface or embedding molecular species or nanoparticles. These layers exhibit exceptional morphological and structure properties and have an interesting application potential in the environmental photocatalysis, separation and photovoltaics.
