Two postdoc positions in microscopy and plasmonics

We are looking for two postdocs experienced in microscopy and/or plasmonics to join our newly established group at J. Heyrovský Institute of Physical Chemistry in Prague! Did you build a microscope during your PhD? Do you have experience with plasmonic enhancement? Are you curious how plasmonics and superresolution microscopy can work together? Then this position is suited exactly for you!

The project aims to develop new tools for sub-diffraction manipulation of light using plasmonic nanoparticles. We use single molecule localization microscopy and other single molecule microscopy and spectroscopy techniques, DNA nanotechnology and machine learning to create and reconstruct plasmon-modulated images.

The position is for 4 to 5 years with the possibility of research stays in collaborating laboratories throughout Europe (Germany, France). Our group was established in 2021 and is ready for rapid take-off! We are a young, dynamic team that values independence, diversity, and an open, friendly, and collaborative environment. Become a foundation member and shape the face of the group.

The ideal candidate has earned their PhD in physics, biophysics, physical chemistry or related fields with focus on plasmonics and/or advanced microscopy. Experience with the fabrication of plasmonic structures in the form of nanoparticle assemblies, as well as an understanding of microscopic setups would be beneficial.
