MaCSE lab is a team belonging to the Chemical Sciences Institute of Rennes in France. The main goal of this team is to consider electron transfers in the matter, in liquid or solid state and the chemical and physical consequences of these electron transfers. SPM microscopies are used in the lab to analyse the surfaces concerned by the electron transfer and, more precisely, I will focus on surface modifications or surface functionalizations. Beyond imaging, the microscope can afford details on the structuration of the surfaces, temperature aging, thickness of organic layers.
This talk is above all about technical possibilities of the SPM microscopy according to surface electrochemistry and simultaneously an overview of MaCSE lab research.
